I have the honour to inform you that during

3024 in Sir F. Lugard's Despatch No. 365 of 21st. October, 1911,

the leave of Mr. H. E. Goldsmith, the grant of which was reported

the whole of the work in connection with the maintenance of buildings, roads etc., was carried out by Mr. T. L. Perkins, Executive Engineer, and necessitated much overtime work on his part.

In consideration of this work I recommend that his case should be regarded as special and that he should be grant- -ed a bonus of £60. Mr. Goldsmith's lapsing, salary and duty pay

amounted in all to over £159.
